Panel Discussion

The panel discussion will feature two qualitative and two quantitative researchers who will compare the two types of research and discuss a theme relevant to conducting research in the college and university setting in Japan.

Length: 120 minutes discussion

Professional Development Workshops

These professional development workshops are designed to introduce you to new ideas in professional development and help you hone your skills. You will find these workshops useful for helping you from the proposal stage, to presenting your ideas, and finally with the process of writing and publishing your ideas.

Length: 45  minutes presentations

Paper Presentations

Include empirical studies in a University or College environment, theoretical discussion of an issue relevant to the field of College and University educators, evaluative studies of courseware in use, discussion of policies or strategies at an institutional, regional, or national level or assessment of Post Secondary level language teaching or language learning materials.

Length: 25  minutes presentations

Workshop Presentations

Include practical demonstrations on how to use various tools or ideas for College or University language learning environments. They may include commercially or freely available tools, or in some cases individually developed materials provided there is the possibility of participants either using the tools demonstrated or developing similar tools for their own language learning environments.

Length: 25 minutes presentations

Poster Presentations

For describing a work in progress, a theory in development, or a new process or idea, although submissions beyond this scope are also welcome.
